For 11 years, Linda Stewart, a 2002 Weinberg Fellow, served as the executive director for the Maryland Mentoring Partnership. Under her leadership she established the organization as the preeminent advocate, resource and expert for youth mentoring in the state.
Baltimore Students Achieve "GREAT DEBATERS" Dream

For the first time in history, two African-American debaters have become National College Debate champions by winning the CEDA National Championship. Dayvon Love and Deven Cooper are graduates of Baltimore City schools, and alums of the Baltimore Urban Debate League (BUDL). Love and Cooper are currently on Towson University’s debate team. Their preparation for this victory was aided by their involvement with BUDL, led by Pam Spiliadis, Weinberg Fellow class of 2004.

2007 AIM for Excellence Award Winners Announced

The Fuel Fund of Central Maryland took top honor at this year's AIM for Excellence conference, held at the Tremont Grand Conference Center. The other award winners were, the Students Sharing Coalition and the Maryland Mentoring Partnership. Each agency received an unrestricted grant in honor of their executive directors.

The members of the 2007 group officially became "Weinberg Fellows" on October 19th during a ceremony at Turf Valley. Numerous fellows turned out to recognize the acheivement of the current class and welcome them into the Weinberg Fellows network.
